2016 SSU Field School

Another great year! Our field school expanded investigations of the Ada K. Damon shipwreck on Steep Hill Beach at the Crane Estate. From sailing on schooner Fame to a visit at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum to learn more from shipwright Harold Burnham, students were immersed in hands-on experiences in maritime culture.
